Since June 2004, Almost Home Academy has offered the best in child care services in a modern facility that operates year-round. We accept children ranging in age from 2 weeks to 12 years and ensure their safety in a securely locked daycare facility that is always maintained.
Our staff members are trained and certified in CPR and are licensed child care providers to put your mind at ease. Our assessment of your child's progress is designed to involve and inform you of their learning and includes twice-yearly conferences with you and your child where we will share the observations, pictures, and activities we have experienced with your child.

Discovery is the name of the game with infants. Every moment of every day they are absorbing everything they are presented with - sights, smells, tastes, sounds, and sensations. At Almost Home Academy, your baby will be presented with all sorts of new experiences to be explored in a calm, safe and soothing environment.
Learning to Move and Exist in the World
At Almost Home Academy, our toddlers play and discover new things every moment of every day in a safe environment - rich with experiences that can be met safely and a predictable routine that will help your child thrive and learn. Your child's personality will truly start to shine through!
Safe Interaction and Social Learning
At age two, your child will enjoy asserting themselves in every way possible - introduce them to an environment which they are safely able to control and enjoy in their own way. The introduction of open-ended play and learning social skills will be the focus of your child's curriculum in our Two's class.
A Great Start for Your Child's Education
The preschool program will satisfy your child's newfound curiosity about the world and everything in it! Trips outside to play, structured and unstructured activities all combine to get your child off to a great start. Small and group activities, as well as independent exploration, will help your child learn all sorts of new concepts!

Is Your 4-Year-Old Ready for Kindergarten?
If you feel that your child is ready to move on from pre-school education, Almost Home Academy offers a 4-year-old kindergarten program with a WDPI-certified teacher. If your child needs to be challenged, this may be the right fit for you and your child.
This program is offered through the Racine Unified School District and Kenosha Unified School District. Our engaging, age-appropriate environment will introduce your child to a structure consistent with that of elementary school and supply the building blocks for their future, including:
- Art
- Math
- Reading and literacy
- Science
- Social skills
This program meets from 8:30 am until 11:45 am and all children that turn 4 by September 1st are welcome!
Before- and After-School Care
If your work hours don't allow you to be home when your child is, Almost Home Academy can help you out! Our program for school-aged children is designed to allow maximum time for education AND relaxation to build your child's self-esteem, social skills, and confidence. We are open weekdays from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm and even offer transportation to and from school - contact us for more details.

Healthy, Family-Style Meals Served Daily
At mealtimes, your child will sit down with their classroom for a healthy family-style meal with both teachers and students participating. Per Wisconsin's Child Care and Adult Food Program, your child will be served breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack every day. The meals follow USDA guidelines and menus will be posted each day.
By serving a meal family-style, it allows our teachers to socialize and converse with your child and model proper table manners, as well as reminding the child to use good manners as well.
